Description

75 stems in a rope basket, yellow and green the whole way through: 25 yellow roses, 15 stock, 10 bells of Ireland, 10 craspedia and oncidium, 8 hydrangeas and 7 peonies. About 39 in across and 39 in tall with the basket (100 by 100 cm), so plan a console or a side table rather than a dinner table.

The foam is soaked before the basket leaves the boutique, so nothing needs a vase or trimming at the other end, and the handle makes it easy to carry from the door to a table.

Peonies open over two or three days, so the basket looks fuller at the end of the week than on the day it arrives. When peonies are off the market we replace them one for one with ranunculus. Varieties move with the market, the count and the palette stay.
